IF I call myself a follower of Christ, I must look up from myself and see what he'd do and where he is now.
"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in" (Matthew 25:35).
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” (Matthew 5:43-44)
“For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”(Galatians 5:14)
“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.”(Luke 12:4)
IF I call myself an American, I should know we believe all humans have unalienable equal rights for freedom. I should know our statue that represents our own Liberty cries it to others:
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses, yearning to breath free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."
